CSCOPE Class Lesson Plans

by Kent Lemons

December 14, 2009

The teachers at Holliday Elementary have trained this school year in the use of CSCOPE.  CSCOPE is a new tool on line, providing lesson plans and other resources for teachers as they prepare for their classes.  Below is an excerpt from an e-mail sent by Wes Pierce, Director of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction Services, at the Region 9 Education Service Center in Wichita Falls.

"Research conducted within the last ten years confirms the positive impact of parental involvement in his/her child's academic performance. In addition, we that our students' parents would like to have access to information about CSCOPE. For these reasons, we have added an online parent portal where parents can go to learn more about the components of CSCOPE. Currently, there are three videos , helpful web sites for parents in each content area, and access to the concepts and key understandings for every unit in each content area at each grade level (just click on the subject and grade level from the drop-down list). In the future, we plan to add sections with frequently asked questions, additional videos, and other helpful information for parents. To access this site, please go to www.cscope.us/parentportal."

If you have any questions or should need any help, please contact the Holliday Elementary Office.
