Pre-Algebra & Algebra I Qualification Criteria
- Holliday I. S. D. will use objective criteria to evaluate students who have completed 6th grade for placement in 7th grade Pre-Algebra and 7th grade for placement in 8th grade Algebra I.
- One point is awarded for each of the categories in which the student qualifies.
Mandatory qualifications include criteria 1 and 2.
1. 6th or 7th grade overall Math average: 92 or above
2. No more than 4 late, missing, or incomplete math papers per year
3. Algebra Prognosis test: 80 or above
4. TAKS Math Test: 90 or above
5. Math test average (tests given in class): 90 or above
- 4 out of 5 points must be met to be accepted into the program and two of the four must be criteria 1 and 2.
- New enrollees must match this criteria, based on available categories, to be enrolled in the program.
