Tactile Art Class

January 04, 2017

The visually impaired students attend a tactile art class at Region 9 each year.  This is a day full of fun arts and crafts.  Doing these tactile crafts helps with their disabilities.  They use their sensory skills with their hands to make these fun projects.  This class also focuses on socialization skills with others of the same disability.  This year, the students made mosaic, picture frames.  The students got to pick different kinds of shiny jewels to grout onto their wooden, picture frame.  The students look forward to this workshop every year as they get to learn a new crafting technique and socialize with friends from other schools.
