    HHS Band Regional and Area Honors

    Congratulations to the HHS Band members that earned honors at Region and Area ! HHS Region Band Participants were: Hailey Cating, Ainsley Seigler , Carley Koski, Melanie Price, William Hoffman, Fisher Seigler, Brendan Toulan, Brayden Birkenfeld. Fisher Seigler won the Region 7 Band Greg Miller Scholarship and the District Band Memorial Scholarship.
    HHS Area Band members that qualified to audition for state were : William Hoffman, Carli Koski, Ainsley Seigler, Fisher Seigler, Hailey Cating.

    Holliday Athletic Booster Club Rib Feed

    The Holliday Athletic Booster Club Rib Feed is coming up on Saturday February 3, 2018 at the Elementary cafeteria from 5-8 p.m. Rib plates are $10 and Full slabs to take home are $20. Get your "Rib Feed" tickets from any HISD Athlete or tickets will be available at the door.

    Holliday ISD Teacher Recruitment Fair

    If you are a certified teacher this is your opportunity to “get to know” Holliday ISD.

    Holliday ISD will be hosting a Teacher Recruitment Fair on Saturday February 17th at 9:00 a.m.  As an applicant, you will get the opportunity to tour the campuses, have lunch, meet with teachers and administrators and be interviewed by campus teams.

    The purpose of the job fair is to pre-screen and interview prospective teachers for anticipated openings in the 2018-19 school year and to create a pre-screened and interviewed pool of applicants should an opening occur.

    Teacher will need to apply through the Region 9 website the posting is under  "Holliday ISD Teacher Recruitment Fair". http://www.esc9.net/119841_2

    The job fair schedule will accommodate 20 applicant interviews on Saturday February 17th. If more than 20 applicants are selected to be interviewed HISD will host a second round of interviews on Saturday February 24th.

    Only completed applications will be considered.

    Holliday ISD has anticipated openings in:

    Elementary Grades K-5 (ESL Certification, Google Certification, HRS Training and UIL Academic Coaching experience preferred)

    Middle School 8th Grade Social Studies (Google Certification, HRS Training and UIL Academic Coaching experience preferred)

    Middle School 7th Grade Math and Pre-Algebra (Google Certified Educator, HRS Training and UIL Academic Coaching experience preferred)   

    High School Assistant and Middle School Theatre Arts/Speech/Drama/ Debate (Google Certified Educator and HRS Training preferred)

    Although we do not anticipate openings at this time HISD welcomes applicants certified in Spanish, Secondary Math, Special Education and all teaching fields.

    HISD Offers a competitive compensation plan that includes:

    • $1000 above state base that is not front loaded and step increases currently to year 27 in experience.
    • Personal Leave – 5 state days, district pays $50 per unused day upon retirement

       4 local days, district pays $75 per unused day each school year

    • Doctor visits (less than 2 hours) covered at no charge
    • Life Insurance         $10,000 of coverage, no charge to employee
    • Athletics – Free admission to all home athletic contests
    • Working Conditions – Small class sizes and collegial atmosphere

    Holliday Students Do Well at the Archer County Junior Livestock Show

    Over 45 Holliday ISD students participated in the Archer County Junior Livestock show this year. The premium sale recognized former Holliday Ag. Teacher Jim Bob Wallace for his years of service to the show. The premium auction generated over $117,000 for students in Archer County Schools. Students from Holliday and their placings were:

    January is School Board Appreciation Month

    January is School Board Appreciation Month and the theme for this year is "Helping Kids Soar to Success" . Holliday ISD is blessed to have a group of selfless people who put the best interest of students first and provide the leadership and vision that is the foundation of the success of Holliday ISD. HISD Board Members are : President - Barry Hardin, Vice-President – Bubba Turner, Secretary – Corey Lindeman and Members – Phillip Dowd, Blake Jurecek, Christy Koski and Eric Morris. 

    At their regular meeting the Board was honored by students and staff for their service with a meal sponsored by the HHS Student Council, a framed score of the Alma Mater from HMS and  paintings by HES students. Please help us in showing your appreciation for our HISD Board members during the month of January.
