Holliday ISD Teacher Recruitment Fair

If you are a certified teacher this is your opportunity to “get to know” Holliday ISD.

Holliday ISD will be hosting a Teacher Recruitment Fair on Saturday February 17th at 9:00 a.m.  As an applicant, you will get the opportunity to tour the campuses, have lunch, meet with teachers and administrators and be interviewed by campus teams.

The purpose of the job fair is to pre-screen and interview prospective teachers for anticipated openings in the 2018-19 school year and to create a pre-screened and interviewed pool of applicants should an opening occur.

The job fair schedule will accommodate 20 applicant interviews on Saturday February 17th. If more than 20 applicants are selected to be interviewed HISD will host a second round of interviews on Saturday February 24th.

Only completed applications will be considered.

Holliday ISD has anticipated openings in:

Elementary Grades K-5 (ESL Certification, Google Certification, HRS Training and UIL Academic Coaching experience preferred)

Middle School 8th Grade Social Studies (Google Certification, HRS Training and UIL Academic Coaching experience preferred)

Middle School 7th Grade Math and Pre-Algebra (Google Certified Educator, HRS Training and UIL Academic Coaching experience preferred)   

High School Assistant and Middle School Theatre Arts/Speech/Drama/ Debate (Google Certified Educator and HRS Training preferred)

Although we do not anticipate openings at this time HISD welcomes applicants certified in Spanish, Secondary Math, Special Education and all teaching fields.

HISD Offers a competitive compensation plan that includes:

  • $1000 above state base that is not front loaded and step increases currently to year 27 in experience.
  • Personal Leave – 5 state days, district pays $50 per unused day upon retirement

   4 local days, district pays $75 per unused day each school year

  • Doctor visits (less than 2 hours) covered at no charge
  • Life Insurance         $10,000 of coverage, no charge to employee
  • Athletics – Free admission to all home athletic contests
  • Working Conditions – Small class sizes and collegial atmosphere
