 Would you like to see Mr. P. take the plunge? Holliday ISD and the Holliday High School chapter of TAFE are sponsoring the Special Olympics of Texas Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 3rd at Boomtown Bay Family Aquatic Center in Burkburnett at 10:00 A.M. Each campus is challenged to raise money by, Thursday, Feb. 1st . The principal whose campus raises the most money wins and will represent Holliday ISD by taking "the polar plunge"!!! Dr. Dyes has agreed that if the total raised by all campuses reaches $1,000, he will also take "the plunge"! High School will have a grade level competition. The class that raises the most money will get to see their class president (or officer) "TAKE THE PLUNGE" in the school tank! Outside donations are welcomed! Class containers will be in the office. Freezin' for a Reason supports more than 6,800 local Special Olympics athletes. All money raised will go toward providing year-round programs for local individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Congratulations to the following students on their success with Cross-Examination Debate:

1st place: Andres Revis and Logan Bohannon, advancing to State in March.

2nd place: Emily Beaman and Macie Miller, advancing to State in March.

3rd place:  Jaylee Whitson and Caleb Faver, alternates to State.

4th place:  Fisher Seigler and Blaze Scholl.

The Eagle basketball teams along with the Nocona High School teams are raising money to help find a cure for cancer. The Hoops for the Cure Night will be January 26th beginning with the JV games starting at 4:30 here in Holliday.  Shirts for the game will be on sale until January 21st at midnight.  You can order the shirts online.  The link to order the t-shirts is available in the office.

All juniors interested in attending an ACT Workshop on February 1st in order to prepare for the ACT test, please sign up in the office and pick up the flyer with more information.
