The HISD New Running Track project is finally complete and we want to welcome members of the community to use the track. The primary purpose of the new track is to provide a great facility for our students PK-12 but a secondary purpose is to share the facility with the community for health and fitness. Holliday High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Workshop for Seniors and their Parents on Thursday October 13th in the HS Library from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This workshop will be presented by Midwestern State University. It is not exclusive to MSU but rather provides basic financial aid information pertinent to most colleges/universities and explains the FAFSA process (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). . . .
This years Senior Round-Up featuring a Talent Show, Elementary PTO Carnival, Barbecue Meal, Round Up Queen Crowing and Silent and Live Auctions was a big success. Despite the threat of rain, the Elementary PTO, Kay Lucy Scholarship Fund and the 2017 Senior Class raised over $12,000. A big "Thank you" goes out to all the parents, sponsors and contributors for making this years Round-Up a good event and alot of fun!
Holliday ISD and all three campuses earned the highest ranking on the 2016 TEA Accountability Ratings. The TEA also recognizes campuses and districts for academic achievement above and beyond expectations. Holliday Elementary hosted grandparents lunch for kindergarten students and their grandparents on September 8th and 9th. We had a great turnout and we want to thank our staff (teachers, cafeteria staff, custodial staff and volunteers) for making it a great lunch for our grandparents and students. Most of all we want to thank all of our grandparents for being a partner with Holliday ISD in educating our children.Thank you!
Congratulations to the Holliday Athletic and Band Boosters on "Meet The Eagles Night" last night September the 5th. Everyone got to see all our JH and HS athletes, band members and cheerleaders together. A big thank you to all our Band Directors, Coaches and Sponsors for their support. Our booster clubs do a great job supporting all of our students in their extracurricular activities. Thank you!
T he ACT is a college readiness test that indicates a students potential for college success. ACT research shows that students who meet the ACT College Readiness Benchmarks are more likely to persist in college and earn a degree than those who don’t.
