Holliday Eagles Soar High

 

Holliday High School, located in Holliday, Texas, has a distinguished history of academic and extracurricular excellence. Consistently earning high ratings from the Texas Education Agency, the school is committed to fostering student success across academics, athletics, and the arts.

The Holliday Eagles have secured multiple district and regional titles in football, basketball, and track and field. The school's Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter has excelled in state competitions, highlighting students' dedication to agricultural education. The band has consistently performed at a high level, earning top placements at the UIL State Marching Contest. Likewise, the UIL Academic teams have achieved multiple state championships, showcasing the school's strong academic foundation.

Holliday High School has now earned the prestigious UIL Lone Star Cup seven times, recognizing its exemplary achievements in academics, athletics, and fine arts. The school reclaimed the title in September 2024 for the 2023–2024 school year, marking its first victory in nearly two decades. Holliday has now secured the 2024–2025 Lone Star Cup as well, achieving consecutive championships. This most recent honor reflects outstanding performances across multiple programs, including football, boys and girls cross country, and volleyball.

These accomplishments underscore Holliday High School’s dedication to developing a well-rounded, high-achieving student body.

  • ​Ginnie Gaskey serves as the Assistant Principal for both Holliday High School and Holliday Middle School within the Holliday Independent School District in Texas. Prior to her current role, she was a teacher at Wichita Falls Independent School District.

  • Aniece Anderson serves as the High School Counselor at Holliday High School in Holliday, Texas. In her role, she develops graduation plans, offers college and career guidance, provides individual and group counseling, and coordinates state testing and college entrance exams. Additionally, she assists with dual credit and concurrent enrollment programs.
