Holliday ISD Procedure for Determining School Closure, Late Start or Early Release Due to Winter Weather Conditions

As a District the safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. Holliday ISD will use the following procedure to determine school closings, late starts and early releases due to weather.

• District personnel will drive bus routes and major highways before 5:30 a.m.
• District personnel will consult with the National Weather Service, TxDot and State and Local Law Enforcement for the latest road information and weather forecast.
• If it is a determined that a late start or school closure is warranted our goal is to inform parents and staff by 6:00 a.m.

If the weather forces an early release parents will be notified as soon as possible.

• Holliday ISD will post late start or school closure information by 6:00 a.m. on the district website, direct email and text to parents, Twitter, Facebook and local news media.
