Holliday Athletics Summer Workout Schedule and Protocol

Holliday Athletic/UIL Summer Workouts Protocol

Holliday ISD Athletics would like to welcome back student athletes to the weight room/gym.  The health and safety of our student athletes is a priority and we will follow the guidance of the state and Holliday ISD.

The policies in our plan are designed to minimize risk for our student athletes and staff.

Athletic facilities and equipment will be disinfected and sanitized before, during and after work out sessions.

Spray bottles and towels will be in close proximity to all workout stations.

Athletes will bring their own water, no sharing of food or drinks.  Athletes and coaches will remain 6 ft apart during workouts (spotting is an exception).

Athletes are recommended but not required to have mouth and nose coverings when at workouts.

Athletes must come dressed to work out.  Athletes will not be allowed in the locker rooms.

No handshakes, high fives, fist bumps, etc.

All athletes will check in with a supplied medical form/release.  If an athlete does not feel well, he/she should not attend.  Any athlete that develops symptom during workout will be sent home.  Attendance is not mandatory.

Only coaches and athletes will be allowed at workouts, parents/siblings etc. will not be allowed to be in the facilities.  Parents that are dropping off or picking up are asked to stay in their vehicle.

We will place athletes in groups and keep them in those groups through the summer.  If anyone in that group displays symptoms of COVID-19, all athletes in that group will be removed until the athlete in question has been cleared by a medical professional.

Male athletes will enter the building through the workout doors on the west side on the boy’s hallway.  Female athletes will enter and exit through the west side doors in the girl’s hallway.

Summer Conditioning will start on

June 8—Men at 7:00—9:00, Women 8:00—10:00

June 29—Conditioning/Sports Specific Skills

July 6—Conditioning/Sports Specific Skills

July 13—Conditioning/Sports Specific Skills
